Culinary School Week

La Tablée des Chefs organizes the Culinary School Week, during which teachers and students from cooking schools work together to produce meals that are redistributed to local community organizations, through Food Banks of Quebec’s network.

Culinary School Week

Under the leadership of La Tablée des Chefs, this initiative mobilizes teachers and culinary students across Quebec to take up the challenge of preparing a number of meals redistributed to local organizations through the Food Banks of Quebec’s network. This annual event helps feed people who face food insecurity, and raises awareness among the next generation of culinary professionals about this important issue.

Culinary School Week, a unique socially oriented experience, allows future cooks and chefs to get involved in their communities, through the school program that inspires them, at a time of year when food is scarce in food banks.

Since its inception, Culinary School Week has allowed for the redistribution of more than one million meals across Quebec.
