The Kitchen Brigades

Composed of three main areas: social, multi-cultural and nutritional, the Kitchen Brigades program is designed to place high school students (12-17 years old) at the heart of the action, in order to make them discover the pleasure of cooking and to create a certain excitement around food and healthy lifestyles in their school environment.

The Kitchen Brigades program is offered to nearly 3,000 young people in 125 high schools for the 2018-2019 school year, mostly as extracurricular activities, in all 17 administrative regions of Quebec

The Kitchen Brigades in Canada

Since January 2019, the Kitchen Brigades program has been offered in some 20 English and French high schools in seven other Canadian provinces: British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Food Bus School Tour

Thanks to the participation of our generous partners, La Tablée des Chefs has transformed a school bus into a mobile canteen to promote the Kitchen Brigades program to young people as part of its school tour. The Food Bus travels throughout Quebec to meet students in their high schools to increase their awareness of the importance of cooking.

2017-2018 : École secondaire des Pionniers de Trois-Rivière

At the provincial grand finals of the Kitchen Brigades competition, held in May 2018 at the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) and hosted by Ricardo Larrivée, the brigade from École secondaire Des Pionniers in Trois-Rivières was crowned the big winner.
